and BuddyPress developer

During the last few years, we assisted to the birth of multitudes of blogs on the web and we worked well with WordPress, went deeper in the code, created plugins, customized themes. This allowed me to gain specific skills and I really enjoyed it. In 2009, BuddyPress was born just in time to satisfy a different demand and I made the most of my WordPress skills to slide into social networks and extranets customization. Companies who had started seeing their visitors as users are now involving them as real actors of their content by creating their own communities. Things are going fast. New jobs are araising . Webmasters who turned into moderators now have to keep up to date to approach social networks and consolidate the image of their company, not only on their own website but on the whole web.

As for us, developers, we have to keep up on technological evolution, get to know these tools, dig into them, sometimes divert their primary features in order to satisfy each client’s requirements which most of the time are unique. This is becoming more and more complicated but however so exciting.

2009 has therefore been for me a perfecting year on a technological point of view. I had the opportunity to work with new teams and on very interesting projects.

On a personal point of view, it was fun and happyness : unforgetable kitebuggy sessions on the nearby beach (l’Espiguette), a little boat to go fishing, boat driving licence,  Kimberley who passed her exam in video editing, and life flowing like water in this magic place where I live.

2010 is looking promising so let’s go on
