Andy Peatling has announced BuddyPress 1.2 release for the end of January. This new version should allow a better sitewide interactivity for the social network users. It will also offer a new default theme design, nice and blue. If you have created a child theme for the bp-sn-parent theme, things should go well and smooth for you. This theme should offer better customization possibilities.
